Google changes Android Strategy
Google is a dominant player in the smartphone world since 2007. As per the latest information from the company 1.4 billion people around the world use Android. But google makes very few of the devices itself, but it license the Android software to other manufactures like Samsung, LG, HTC etc. This has led Android one major advantage over Apple’s iPhone lineup: Consumer choice. You will get Android phones in a wide range of sizes and formats, ranging from cheap basic models to expensive high-end handsets. Apple, meanwhile, only sells five different iPhones.
But this approach has a disadvantage in some other ways. , companies that make and sell Android smartphones typically supplement the operating system with their own features and apps whereas Apple controls iPhones’ software and hardware. For an end customer of android it creates a fragmented experience, since the software and user interface varies between different devices and manufactures. Using an Android device made by Samsung likely won’t feel the same as using one created by LG or HTC, unlike different iPhone models, which don’t vary much in terms of software.
